CO2CRC will host a Core Workshop to display sections of geological core from the CRC-3 (injection well) and CRC-8 (observation well) for our upcoming Stage 4 CO₂ Injection Project.

The core sections on display will be from the Upper Cretaceous Paaratte Formation in the Otway Basin, a deltaic reservoir-seal succession.

The guided discussion will be hosted by Laura Gomez (CO2CRC) and supported by Andy Wilson (ImageStrat).

We will illustrate some of the “heterolithics” that will be tested as part of the Stage 4 experiments, supporting our aspirations to unlock poorer quality storage systems for commercial CO­₂ storage.
