Community welcomed at Otway Research Facility open day

On Saturday 5 November CO2CRC held an open day at its Otway Research Facility, located in Nirranda South, Victoria.

Over 50 visitors took the opportunity to view one of world’s best carbon capture and storage research sites, despite the less than ideal weather.

Guided tours of the site, including a new $1 million experimental capture platform, delivered only last month, ran throughout the day.

The community was also treated to a lunch featuring the area’s best produce – Otway beef, Great Ocean Road cheese and locally made ice-cream.

The day was a great opportunity for CO2CRC to not only demonstrate the world-class research taking place at the site, but to thank the local community for their support.
